GALS: Girls as Leaders in STEM launched yesterday at the Geelong Regional Libraries and will run from June 27 till July 11 in the main foyer. Make sure you head down and check out what the incredible GALS have created, with innovative solutions to tackle industry and environmental problems.
Working with Deakin University, Geelong Industry and the Upstart Team, all students involved (Grade 5 through to Year 8) from across the Geelong region came together to design solutions to issues such as; what to do with excess waste in high schools – turn it into 3D Printer Filaments that can be used to print rulers, a sensory playground for children that may struggle with traditional playground designs plus many more!
Many thanks to Libby Coker MP, Deakin University, A/Prof Cora Campbell, The Invergowrie Foundation and Geelong Regional Libraries for supporting the program! #STEM
