We are hitting the ground running in Ballarat and we are thrilled to have the local paper, The Courier, feature us as part of their Innovation Series for Ballarat.

Ballarat is positioning itself as a real innovation hub with Runway, Start Up Ballarat and Platypus Coworking all being established in the last 6-8 months. It’s certainly a wonderful place to be and you can sense the excitement.

We’re seeing local schools embrace the Ballarat Tech School (if you’re a Ballarat local then you should go in and have a look -it’s incredible) and students are being exposed to the latest technology and STEM programs. They even starting an Esports tournament, where students from the local secondary schools will be selected to battle it out on line against other schools in rounds of Fortnite.

It’s been great to see the local paper, The Courier, cover the innovation that is happening in Ballarat as it let’s the wider community know what’s going on.

The article highlights the impact that the Upstart Challenge has had on the students who participated in the program, with one student, Umi, now deciding to include business studies as a direct result of being involved in the challenge. (And we just love Umi’s business idea as it’s motivated by personal experience and has a clear niche.)

We want to thank Rochelle Kirkham, the journalist put the fantastic article together.

We have information sessions booked in Ballarat for the June 5 and Jun 12 from 4-5pm. You can book your ticket here
